Sports & Leisure Activities at Sudelfeld
In the beautiful Wendelstein Area at Sudelfeld, surrounded by forest and Alpine meadows at an altitude of 1,100 m: this is where you'll find the Berghotel Sudelfeld. A fantastic spot to spend your holiday. Far away from it all, you can fully enjoy the picturesque landscape in the middle of the top four holiday regions in the Bavarian Alps.
For hikers, the local commune in Bayrischzell also offers visitors a special Wanderbus, which will take you by prior arrangement to places where there is no public transport (e.g. to Ursprungtal). You can use this service to reach the chosen starting point for your hike or to be picked up at the end of your hike. Please contact the Tourist Information Office in Bayrischzell on tel. 08023-648 at least one day in advance. This service is free and only applies to visitors holding a Bayrischzell Guest Pass. The special bus for hikers operates Mon - Fri from 9am-4.30pm, subject to prior arrangement and availability.

The Surrounding Alpine Farms
You can reach many small Alpine farms from the Berghotel Sudelfeld. Not all of them offer refreshments in summer, but you can walk to Waller Alm or Speck Alm in about 45 minutes. The local bacon platter in the Speckkeller at Speck Alm is particular recommended: it's flavour comes from a family recipe, being smoked in an in-house smokehouse with beech wood and matured in the purpose built cellar.
Mountains and Lakes
Hikers and mountain bikers will find a wide range of excursion options in the area around the Berghotel. For example the 17-km pilgrim's way to the chapel of pilgrimage at Maria Birkenstein is a wonderful opportunity for a spiritual retreat close to nature. Or, with the Wendelstein Railway, you can easily reach the highest peak of the Wendelstein Range. The views here are fantastic. Or travel by local 'BOB' train to the lake at picturesque Schliersee.

Enjoy the Winter at Sudelfeld
One of the largest interconnected ski areas in Germany, the Sudelfeld starts with the lift and piste directly in front of the hotel. Ski in / ski out, so to speak.
Guaranteed skiing fun and winter enjoyment for the whole family. New ultra-modern 8-seater high-speed chairlift on the Sudelfeldkopf, the comfortable 6-seater chairlift on the Waldkopf - both with weather protection hoods, heated seats and automatic bar opening - and for all ski nostalgia fans, the nostalgic "Bayrischzell" suspension lift from 1967. For our skiers, we recommend the large sun terrace of our Brösel Alm on sunny days.
